2009 Champion 1/10 IC Glyn Beal successfully defended his title and was crowned 2010 BRCA 1/10 Sports GT champion.
Running initially his Serpent 835 and then Serpent 733 with Mega engines from Serpent-UK (www.serpent-uk.com) , newly developed bodyshells from Keith at Kamtec (www.kamtec.co.uk), Elite RC's excellent fuel (www.eliterc-online.co.uk ), GP tyres (www.gp-speedtires.de), Savox servos (www.cmldistribution.co.uk) and the support of Complete Tools and Fixings (www.comptools.co.uk) Glyn's package for 2010 would be the one to beat.

After starting the year with his long serving Serpent 835 early in the year Glyn was soon to change to the new Serpent 733 in Sport GT trim. Despite this change Glyn soon came to grips with the improved dynamics of the latest car from Serpent. However for Glyn this meant completely relearning both the set up of the car and adopting a slightly different driving style to make the most of the new 220mm cars performance. At the same time bodyshells on the new breed of cars were to play an important role. Within a short space of time and with some quick development Keith of Kamtec in Bognor Regis developed the required sports car shell that would to give a good balance of handling and downforce for Glyn’s needs.
From this point on Glyn was to stamp his authority on the series, much to the annoyance of his rivals for the title. Despite a few mechanical teething problems and one or two setbacks due to gearbox problems Glyn’s consistency and attention to detail paid dividends.

With 3 wins and 7 pole positions Glyn was pushed hard throughout the year with his chief protagonists and even his team mate all eager to take very valuable point from him. With some of the most competitive and toughest battles in the class for many years, the competition was finally forced admit defeat at the second to last round where despite a late race gearbox failure Glyn's second place was enough to retain the title.
Glyn would like to thank his pit men also his sponsors for their support and backing throughout 2010 and for their continued support into the 2011 where hopefully with their help he can retain the title for a seventh year.

For 2011 Glyn will be defending his title in the ever growing Sport GT class not only with the assistance of his current sponsors but also with additional help from both PBM Racing (www.pbmracing.co.uk) and Spire Model Distribution (www.s-m-d.co.uk).
(Admin - thanks to Glyn for sending this report!)
