Here is a quick report by Jon (smmcc) from the BRCA Nationals being held at Snetterton this weekend:- Practice today has been very hectic as we have an entry of over 60 drivers. Mark Green and Kyle Branson have been setting the pace in 200mm foam - both having fastest laps in the low 12 seconds.

The real battle has been in 220mm. Mark Christopher set an early pace with his NT1 on a 12.46 sec. lap and then Glyn Beal took to the track with his newly built Serpent 733 220mm car and very quickly got below Mark's time and eventually got down to 12.02 seconds by mid afternoon. Lee Chapman has also had a great day with another 733 220mm car and at close tonight was second fastest.
What makes Glyn's time even more special is that he is running a .12 and not a .15 engine! I spoke to Glyn who said that the 220mm car was the best thing he had ever driven and was sure that by the end of tomorrow he would get into the 11.** secs bracket. He tried all afternoon to get there but as the afternoon progressed the track got slower so that magic time eluded him.
In Scale Rubber the front runners are Neil Wallace, Joe Keaveney and Tristan Guest. Neil did an incredible 328 laps during the day, whilst at the other end Tris did only 20 as he had to leave early and missed the best of part of the day. Truck unfortunately has only 3 entries and I'm not to sure what their times were. That's about it.
